Happy customers...

As with most software, CyberBrowser works behind the scenes to deliver an effective kiosk application, so you wouldn’t recognise it even if you were using a kiosk on which it was running. On this page you will find a case study for Center Parcs, showing how CyberBrowser and Acquire can be combined for an integrated solution. There are also a few lines on just a handful of our more well known satisfied customers.

Making the most of a break at Center Parcs has never been easier thanks to a recent partnership between the holiday company, Working Solutions and kiosk hardware specialists 10 Squared.  Center Parcs chose Working Solutions’ CyberBrowser to provide a secure kiosk browsing facility which enables visitors to the holiday villages in the UK to book activities online and spend less time queuing.  Once logged in, visitors can browse activities and events and pre-book anything from windsurfing to a restaurant table or spa treat.  Activities can be searched and booked by age, ability, activity, group size and more before printing an itinerary.

Designing and pre-configuring a software solution prior to installation of the kiosks, live support and alerts are managed using Working Solutions’ Kioskmonitor service.  First trialled at the Sherwood Forest village, the holiday company has been so pleased with the results that it has since been rolled out to all four holiday villages across the UK.  For more information call +44 (0) 116 231 8921

Acquire Digital Multimedia Ltd was commissioned by the British Museum to develop a ‘queue busting’ application which would allow visitors to print tickets without waiting in line.  Created to enhance the Museum’s on-line booking service, approximately 600 visitors per week are already using the system to retrieve tickets at an allotted time for ‘paid entry’ attractions within the venue such as the Terracotta Army exhibit.

The custom systems allow the museum to change any of the parameters (e.g. the exhibition, etc) without any further development work by using the Acquire Kioskmonitor solution to remotely monitor the systems for failures.  Powering custom hardware provided by kiosk specialists KIS, the solution not only does this give the Museum vital control over the application, but it also offers access to fast remote support.
Utilising some of the advanced features of the Acquire suite of digital signage solutions currently powering more than 15,000 players worldwide, the development and installation of the software at the British Museum cost less than £10,000.

Serco, the service industry company who operate many hospitals and gymnasiums on behalf of local authorities across the UK chose Working Solutions’ CyberBrowser package for use in kiosks at selected gymnasiums  across the country.  The kiosks and software enable customers to access a variety of gymnasium services in one place.

Working Solutions (Creative IT) Ltd, the UK’s market leading software provider for the digital signage and self-service kiosk industry, has installed an innovative Bluetooth application on three new, large format multimedia information kiosks at London Luton Airport.  The 42-inch LCD kiosks have been installed ‘air-side’ at the terminal.  Powered by award winning Acquire Kiosk Designer software and utilising the new Acquire Bluetooth application and CyberBrowser plug-in, the kiosks provide multifunctional assistance for airport customers.

Amongst its functions, the kiosk now offers customers the opportunity to give their opinion on the standard of airport facilities by using the touch-screen feedback form.  Furthermore, customers are able to download offers from the terminal’s retail outlets such as Dixons, Boots, Monsoon and WH Smith via the new Acquire Bluetooth application.  The 3D airport map and Destinations maps, which can be seen at http://www.london-luton.co.uk , were also repurposed for kiosk use.

Written by Working Solutions (Creative IT) Ltd’s in-house programming team, the Bluetooth application works in conjunction with the Acquire software platform for maximum efficiency. Using a Bluetooth transceiver device connected to the kiosk PC, the software searches for Bluetooth activated devices, usually mobile phones, within a predetermined radius.

When the kiosk promotion is touched by the user, the transceiver ‘Bluecasts’ an image of the special offer. If the mobile phone user chooses to accept the offer their phone downloads the image. This image can then no longer be downloaded to the same phone unless the phone leaves the area for a predetermined length of time.
Any user who refuses the image will not be sent that image again, so users are not bombarded with Bluetooth offers that they do not want. And for those newer mobile phones that have a default security function that asks for a 4-digit pairing code to be entered before the image is accepted, the kiosk provides this information as an on-screen instruction.

Live support and alerts are managed using Working Solutions’ Kioskmonitor service.

As part of the UK’s largest commercial property company Broadgate, Vicinitee needed a fast and efficient way to keep local site owners up to date with the latest information.  Honouring its commitment to making buildings work better, by connecting the owner, manager and local neighbourhood with the occupier, retailer and resident, the company asked Working Solutions to supply a number of kiosks to key Vicinitee sites such as Her Majesty the Queen’s Green Park in London.  Each kiosk featured CyberBrowser’s secure access to a portal which allows Broadgate/Vicinitee to inform their site owners of local information, company information, and even view live train times from local railway stations via webcams.  Live support and alerts are managed using Working Solutions’ KioskMonitor service.
