Everything you'd need in a Kiosk Web Browser...

 

CyberBrowser

Setting up CyberBrowser couldn't be simpler. After installation just follow these steps:

1. First choose from one of our varied skins.

2. Select a skin variation. These can include Google search bars, navigation, printing, on-screen keyboards etc.

3. Now edit the browser settings. Choose your security options, start page, error messages etc.

4. Finally, close the configuration screen and load CyberBrowser in secure mode. The Kiosk will then reboot in a "locked-down" state ready for your users to start surfing.

Browser Skins
CyberBrowser contains many different browser skins allowing users to choose one that best suits their corporate identity. This also includes on-screen keyboards. Different styles and skins can be selected from a simple menu system.

Once you select a theme you can choose from many variations on that theme, including Google search bars, print buttons, close session buttons and complete colour changes. Most themes are also compatible with our payment plugin and show time / credits remaining.

On-Screen Keyboards
Each skin comes with its own matching on-screen keyboard. Our keyboards have been designed with web kiosks in mind, so common buttons such as "www.", "@" and ".com" have been included to make browsing easier. We've also added in the ability to show the keyboard when text areas are selected and hide again when they are not.
Attraction Mode
You can use any image / flash / video as a background and lay your introduction / attraction text over the top. This can be used as advertising or simply to pull in potential users. Touching this screen then takes the user to the browser.
Start Page
Any web page can be set as your Start Page or alternatively, you can select one of our Start Page templates. If you have an idea for a start page you can always contact our design team and we will be happy to help create something that will suit your requirements.
Secure PC Lock-Down
Whilst CyberBrowser locks down the internet browser on your kiosk, it is our Sentinel software that locks down the PC itself. Surfing Permission
Here you can define the URLs that your users are allowed to access. This is usually referred to as white listing (users can only access these sites) and black listing (access to all sites apart from these) (e.g. limiting users access to only www.acquiredigital.com)

Google Search
We have included integrated Google search in many of our templates to make searching the web on your kiosk a lot faster and easier for users.

Alternatively, we can build a search bar for any searchable website or service into a template for you.
Download Manager
As the name suggests, this function restricts and prohibits the downloading of files to your kiosk. You can prevent downloads altogether or you can permit downloads to an external memory device such as a pen-drive. This can be very useful if you are considering an mp3 download kiosk.
Printing
You can easily enable or disable printing from within your browser. But have you ever thought of paperless printing. With an upgrade to Acquire and our Bluetooth plug-in you can blue-cast images to compatible mobile devices (requires a Bluetooth transceiver)
Logout
For personal security, CyberBrowser allows users to terminate their session manually. As soon as this action is taken all information stored on the terminal (history, cookies, passwords, etc.) is deleted.
Pop-up blocker
Most modern browsers come with popup blocking as standard; CyberBrowser is no different. All unwanted popups are blocked automatically no matter how devious they may be. You can also choose to allow certain pop-ups if they are necessary for browsing e.g. looking at an item’s details in ebay
